How To Remember Names – The Memory Mojo! Way (via Joe M Turner)
Joe Turner, an Atlanta based magician / public speaker, gave some great advice for remember names of people you meet.
This is great advice that everyone can improve on.
I have used a similar system by magician Harry Lorayne where you focus on the shape of a person’s face and associate their name with a special characteristic.
Here is a link to Harry Lorayne’s audio tape I used: How to Remember Name and Face by Harry Lorayne.
Here is Joe’s original Post:
Hello World!
Let me join the world of blogging (again)…

For as long as I could remember I have been saying I would start blogging again. I actually began blogging when I was in high school and I had my own domain name. I had several friends following it, but I let it fall to the wayside when I began college. When I transferred my domain name and then later failed to renew the domain… needless to say I lost my site and blog to spammers. My fiancée recently began blogging about her experiences in DC this summer. I used her blogging and motivation to start my own blog.
Often I ponder what value I can offer to others in professional and personal atmospheres through an online presence. I am not an expert by any means, but I do closely follow three subjects:
- Business Strategies, Entrepreneurship, Social Entrepreneurship, and Unique Marketing Trends.
- Technology news and advances – I am often an early adapter of software and web 2.0 services.
- Magic Tricks… Yes, I am a magician. No, I do not play Magic the board game. I’m all sleight of hand.
I want my weblog to focus on (1) educating others and organizing my thoughts on entrepreneurship, Business strategies, and any useful technology. (2) showcasing the art of magic and sleight of hand through video performances and links to fellow magicians. Many of you will find this very entertaining; (3) To share and demonstrate any personal opinions and life encounters.
Well this should give you an idea of where I am going with this weblog. I would greatly appreciate your time and dedication in following me.
